I have many loves in life, work admittedly being one of them. However, in addition to work I love time with loved ones, a nice breeze, and traveling whenever the opportunity arises. Family time is a big one for me because I don’t feel like the average family spends enough time with one another. I’m blessed to live only three hours from most of my family members, and luckily due to my high appetite for travel, am always willing to hop a plane to visit those too far away. The person I enjoy spending most of my time with, when possible, is my little cousin Ashlyn (pictured above). This child is amazing in every sense of the word and I’m so happy to have the opportunity to both watch her grow up and be an influence on her young yet mature mind. When Ashlyn had to fill out a survey for her Girl Scout Troupe she was asked the question “Who is your favorite character?” The reply that had will forever stay in my mind….”My cousin Lauren.”
Although the hot sticky days in Florida aren’t my cup of tea, a day at the park with a blanket, magazine and cool breeze really make me appreciate the Florida weather. I haven’t always been one, but I’ve grown into a bit of an outdoorsy kind of gal. My neighbor and I like to take an hour or two a day and walk outside to get fresh air and catch up on what’s going on in our lives. We call these our “bitty walks” because we look like two old women power-walking and gossiping about the neighbors that we’ve never met.
Traveling has always been a passion of mine since I made my first solo flight at the age of five. Okay, no, I didn’t fly a plane, but I did fly ON a plane without any supervision! Since then, I have taken every opportunity given to me. My dream job would be to host a show on the Travel station.
When I’m not with family, on a bitty walk, or traveling the streets of Rome, I’m at home with my dog Bentley (pictured above) just enjoying life and thanking my lucky stars for being blessed with life!
